First wave of visitors

Today I took off to get a few things from Walmart... I swear I never shopped there in my life (only to get the latest video games) now I feel like a vet (after two trips). That place has everything for baby needs. Screw the organic bullcrap... I want Infant unscented baby wipes for CHEAP. I have also noticed a disturbing trend with me. Baby talk. I am standing in line and chatting up "parent/baby talk" with whomever wants to listen. The parents of a 4 month old usually listen to my inexperienced babble... but those with one in a stroller, two in the cart and three running around screaming creating havoc seem to not be very chatty...

Jodh had his first group of our friends come and see him. It was great to have everyone drop by including his first friends (Riya, Rishi and Dylan). It was good to see these kids as it was a quick reminder that this time is short and Jodh will quickly get to 9 months (Dylan) and shoot up to two years (Rishi) and then all of a sudden 6 years (Riya). I still remember holding Riya a day after she was born and was so afraid to hold her as she looked so fragile. Riya promised me that she would take care of Jodh one day when she got bigger. I am holding you to that promise Riya!!.

We plan to have another wave of friends over soon. It was a good test for us to have a few this time around and Jodh held up well. I was also amazed by Punam who found the energy to entertain. She is one tough woman and I am incredibly proud of her.

Here are some pics from the night and everyone who got to meet Jodh today. Sara, Elan, Claire/Evan, JP, Rupi, Navi, Steve/Amy, Karen, Justin/Sheveta. Chad was afraid to hold the baby... but was completely comfortable holding the baby in the basement. I expect you to make the drive out to Cranston frequently to see the babies...

By the way... later in the night the Vancouver Cansucks got eliminated in the playoffs by the Chicago Blackhawks... Jodh cracked a smile...
