Wow... that was an uber long ordeal!! I am exhausted. Just got back from the hospital. Punam and Jodh are still there and are getting some good rest and care. I plant to bring them home tommorow. What an incredible experience. I am really happy he was born today. 05-05-10. Cinco De Mayo!
I really would like to thank Dr. Stephanie Cooper. Without her positive encouragement we would not have even started down the path again towards parenthood. Special thanks to Leeanne Murakami... our Duola... she was there to hold our hand through the long hours. Also all the staff at the Foothills hospital were amazing and gave us fantastic care. And to all our family and friends... you are too numerous to mention all of you... but the three of us send all our love and thanks.
Jodh: We named him after the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Punam and I visited this city after we visited the neighbouring city of Jaisalmere.
Chand: This name is for Punam's mother Chander and also for my Grandfather Harchand. It means "moon" and it also fits in with Punam's name which means "full moon".
Singh: All male Sikhs have this as their middle name including myself. I wanted to give this name to honor my Grandfather Sohan Singh who taught me what it means to be Sikh. "Always be a student and always keep learning."
I gotta crash now... but will promise to put some pics and updates tommorow on this site and on Facebook.
